Monkey Business

I trust you've enjoyed your week, and that all your stitches fell into place for you! I've enjoyed working on this little fellow this week. I think he's rather dapper for such a playful fellow. Now he needs to find a home with someone to love him.You can find this pattern in Itty Bitty Toys by Susan B Anderson. He's fun to knit, and I just love the way his feet and hand are done. The thumbs and toes add a lot of character. A little girl I know is soon to have a first birthday...... she of course will need a birthday hat, so I'm on to the next project. Perhaps I'll be able to post a photo of her wearing it for you all to see soon.

More To Love a Child

I was able to get three more little hats knit over the weekend, so tomorrow they'll be mailed off soon to meet their new baby owners. This has really been a fun project! I did received some sock yarn today that I've been waiting on. I have a pair of nearly finished socks just waiting for this yarn so that I can complete them. Just think, I'll have left over yarn for a little pair of socks!

It's About Time!

I knit this up several months ago, and have been just lazy getting it posted here. In fact, I just put the buttons on it this evening. I'm beginning to get worried that my little niece has outgrown it before I even got it to her. Oh my, good thing she has a little sister coming along. I love this sweater. It's made from Marble Chunky yarn from James C Brett. I don't normally like chunky yarn, but this is so very soft and pretty. I will definitely use it again.
These little hats are for the charity To Love a Child. It's been fun knitting them up, and also is a great use for those part balls of yarn one has laying around. I'm going to do a few more over the weekend.
I really am inspired to knit at the moment........... can you believe it's snowing here tonight?

Happy Knitting!!!

Finally Some Photos

Well, I'm sure this will come as a shock, but here are a couple of photos finally! The first one is of my pig from Itty-Bitty Toys by Susan B. Anderson. She's a rather bright piggy don't you think? I hope my great neice will enjoy her.
Here are my most recent sock projects. The pair at the top is The Lace Sock from Patons Next Steps Four book. They are knit in JL's Pegasus yarn. I love the colour way. Next is another Paton's pattern. They are the Spiral-striped Socks from Socks in The City. They are knit in Patons Kroy Socks jaquards in the Tutti Fruitti colour way. They are quite pretty, although a little difficult to see here.
Finally the bottom pair, yet another Patons pattern from Next Steps Four. These are the Basic Socks done in a most interesting yarn. I've not used a self patterning wool before, so these have been great fun to knit up. They are knit from Fortimssima Colori, a great superwash wool. You'll notice some needles peeking through........I ran out of yarn so, I had to order more to finish up the second sock.
Can you believe I don't have another project on the needles yet? Whatever am I waiting for? Knit a stitch or two for me!

Hello Again!

I have been enjoying my life, and knitting away. I have finished up those socks, and I started another pair, only to run out of yarn to finish the second one. Oh well, I've ordered some more , so they will soon be done too. In the meantime, I'm knitting a pig from Itty -Bitty Toys. It's pretty cute so far, all I've got left to do are the legs. Now I've been making promises to get photos on here, so I'll bite the bullet and post some later tonight.
